A Little About Scott, Owner
Shelander Inspection Services is owned by Scott Shelander, a life long resident of Beaumont. During that time I attended Lamar University receiving 2 bachelor degrees. I have over 40+ years of experience in the new residential and commercial building industry, along with home and commercial remodeling. I have also been a licensed Professional Real Estate Inspector since 2009 and a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker for 40+ years. I understand the inspection process (13+ yrs experience) and understand your needs and concerns as I have been on both sides of the transactions for many years. I built my first home in 1980 and first commercial structure in 1986 and have continued to build residential and commercial structures over the past 40+ years. In addition to currently constructing new homes in the surrounding areas, I also build new homes at Crystal Beach and the Port Bolivar area. I consistently exceed all industry standards with continuing education and training in all relevant inspection issues. I pride myself on being non-biased and objective while providing the client with a thorough inspection report just as I would expect for myself. As a Real Estate Broker, Real Estate Inspector, and Builder I have the experience you deserve in performing your inspections. I am fully insured as required by The Texas Real Estate Commission.

I am an individually owned inspection company and not a franchise. I personally perform all inspections and provide my customers with an extensive computer-generated report. I conduct each inspection as if it were being conducted on my own home. My goal is to provide the most thorough, in-depth inspection that exceeds our clients’ expectations. My reports are comprehensive with photos, graphics with descriptions and information that details the property's condition at the time of the inspection. The reports are written to be easily understood. Basically, it is a snapshot on the condition of your home at the time of the inspection. All Texas inspection reports are based on the Texas Real Estate Commission's Standards of Practice. This is the minimum inspection items that all Texas licensed inspectors are required by the State to follow. Shelander Inspection Services goes beyond these minimums when performing its inspections.
